Prior to joining THS.IP as a partner, Jan Hellenbrand worked for a major international law firm. He has many years of experience in representing clients in court, in particular in preliminary injunction proceedings, and in the administration (prosecution) of intellectual property portfolios, including proceedings before the relevant offices. His work focuses on name/trademark searches and analyses, border seizure proceedings, domain disputes (in particular UDRP proceedings before WIPO), legal defense against or assertion of claims in connection with IT projects, advertising law (in particular advertising in Health Care) and personality rights, the commercialization of IP and copyrights, as well as the drafting, revision and negotiation of IP and IT contracts, testimonial and sponsorship agreements, advertising guidelines, terms of use and general terms and conditions.
Jan assists clients at all stages of the business cycle, including the foundation of emerging companies and start-ups, during the professionalization of their day-to-day operations, their growth and corporate transactions. He also has experience working as a secondee in the inhouse IP department of a global company listed in the German DAX.
